On June 30th 2023, Sancharika Samuha with the support of Ipas Nepal launched a book “Abhiyaan” including 20 feature SRHR stories from various communities across Nepal. Those feature stories were researched and documented by the women journalists who were oriented on gender and SRHR issues. The event saw the participation of about 88 Journalists and representatives from various organization.
The chief guest Ms. Kamala Parajuli, Honorable Chairperson of National Women Commission along with the special guests Ms. Roshni Devi Karki, Under Secretary of Ministry of Health and Population, Mr. Bipul Pokhrel, President of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Mr. Jagadishwor Ghimire, Country Director of Ipas Nepal, and Ms. Bimala Tumkhewa, President of Sancharika Samuha Nepal shared their remarks on the book and its significance in promoting and advocating for SRHR in Nepal. Similarly, the guests and participants verbally committed to focus more on SRHR issues and agenda.
