Empowering Communities through  Community Action, Reflection, and Transformation Sessions

The 75 Natural Leaders, facilitated 134 Community Action, Reflection, and Transformation (CART) sessions across various communities in Lumbini and Karnali Provinces. Alongside promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), Natural Leaders have expanded their focus to include the pressing issue of forest fires, a climate change effect at the community. Given the rising rate of forest fires and their detrimental effects on the environment, wildlife and nearby settlements, our Natural Leaders have been educating communities on the causes, gender and health impacts, prevention, and safety measures related to forest fires. This comprehensive approach ensures that our communities are well-informed and better equipped to handle these challenges. Communities have been taking action on SRHR, Gender, and Climate Change after participating in Natural Leaders’ CART sessions. Together with Natural Leaders, they have organized campaigns and events in several project districts, which have made a significant impact in promoting healthier and safer communities. These events were held to celebrate World Health Day 2024.
