Mr. Sujan Karki has over 20 years of professional experience in research methods, data analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and learning. He did his MPhil degree in Population Studies and Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Tribhuvan University (TU) Nepal and also has an MA degree in Population and Reproductive Health Research from Mahidol University (MU), Thailand. He is currently doing PhD at MU. He completed many consultancy works on research, monitoring, evaluation, and proposal development with different organizations. He has previous experience working with different implementing partners of USAID as the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Director. Mr. Karki, through his vast experience, is an expert in various database software programs, including SPSS, STATA, EPI Info, and QGIS, and has managed various complex surveys using CAPI. Mr. Karki has also developed and implemented MEL plans, Theories of Change, and results frameworks. As a research officer, he supported the 2006 Nepal DHS, and in 2012, he analyzed Nepal DHS 2011 for further analysis. As a UNICEF MICS Consultant in Nepal, he has managed the MICS 2014. He has presented scientific papers on various public health issues at national and international conferences and technical seminars. He has also published papers in peer-reviewed journals.
