Current Ipas Nepal projects implemented: Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response (GBV PR) II

Nature of activities implemented under Ipas Nepal projects: Under the UNFPA GBV PR II project, ABC Nepal will provide shelter home management in Morang, and safe house management in Udayapur and Okhaldhunga districts for the GBV survivors. In addition, ABC will also support the consortium in capacity building of shelter home staff on gender transformative approach and effective operations of the shelter home and safe house with the support from Ipas and other consortium partners. ABC will also provide life skill support to selected GBV survivors of the safe/shelter home of the project areas and also coordinate with other like-minded organizations for such support to survivors. They will also advocate with local governments to increase support for GBV survivors at local level. And Health response training to GBV

Coverage Areas (under GBV PR II project): Morang, Okhaldhunga, Udaypur districts working in Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Siddhicharan Municipality, Chisankhugadi, Molung, Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality, Triyuga, Katari, Chaudandigari, Belaka Municipality. ABC Nepal is also working in 44 health facilities as part of the GBV PR II project.
