In February, Kapilvastu Integrated Development Society (KIDS) Nepal and People’s Participation for Sustainable Development in Nepal (PASS Nepal) successfully conducted Local Project Advisory Committee (LPAC) meetings in 14 Rural/Municipality of Lumbini and Karnali Province, with the technical support from Ipas Nepal under Strengthening Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Program in Nepal Project. The primary objective of these events was to communicate the project’s goals and activities to the LPAC and stakeholders, seeking advice and suggestions for effective project implementation.
A total of 95 participants attended this event, including municipal heads, deputy chiefs, chief administration officers, representatives from different sections of the Palika, ward chairpersons, and local stakeholders. Facilitated by the Program Coordinator, Program Officer, and Social Mobilizer from KIDS Kapilvastu, the meetings served as platforms for constructive dialogues around the project.
During the meetings, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with the respective local governments, solidifying their commitment to support the implementation of the project. Municipal representatives expressed gratitude towards the project initiation.
