Comprehensive Health Camp in Affected Areas

Ipas Nepal conducted a comprehensive health camp in Dullu Hospital, Dailekh, as a part of a community outreach initiative. It was implemented with the collaboration of SOSEC Nepal, Dullu municipality, and Dullu hospital. The camp received technical support from the Province Hospital, the Health Service Office in Dailekh, Bhairabi Municipality Health Post, and Dullu Hospital, as well as assistance from the Ipas Nepal team.

This camp was inaugurated by the municipality’s chairperson, who highlighted the importance of bringing general and gynecological health services closer to the community. The municipality’s chairperson emphasized that the camp provided an important opportunity for both women and men to access essential health services at Dullu Hospital.

About 228 community members received health services, bringing the total to 309 people. Among the beneficiaries, 24 were aged 19 or younger, while the remaining 204 were aged 20 or older. Out of these 228, 121 individuals received VIA screening, 107 accessed general health services, and 17 women received a ring pessary. Among the attendees, 16 were found to be VIA positive, and 17 were diagnosed with uterine prolapse. Medicines were also provided to individuals as part of the camp services.

This camp brought health services closer to the community, especially in remote or disaster-affected areas, reduced the costs of accessing health services, and strengthened referral systems so patients can receive further care when needed.

Through this comprehensive health camp, access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services has been enhanced for women and girls in the affected regions.
